There aren’t a lot of people in the world that would be able to win $230,000 in under 10 minutes, but Full Tilt Poker pro Tom Dwan recently did it in 9 minutes. For the majority of poker players, it would take years of winning to reach this amount – let alone winning it in just one session!
High stakes poker player Patrick Antonius met up with Dwan for a quick session. The two played a heads-up contest that totaled a number of 61 poker hands in only 9 minutes. After some intense betting from both players, there was a pot that grew to $184,234. As you may have already figured out, Tom Dwan was victorious over Antonius in the hand.
Tom Dawn has been able to move closer to winning the popular “Poker Challenge” with the $230,000 he acquired in their last session. Dwan is up over $2 million in the contest that him and Patrik Antonius are playing.
Out of the 50,000 poker hands in the Poker Challenge, there are still 17,000 left to be played. Dwan and Antonius have finished 33,303 hands in the challenge. Antonius has seemingly fallen behind, but with the 17,000 hands left to play it is still anyone’s game. And don’t count on Antonius giving up. He has $500,000 sailing on how the challenge ends.
Whatever the outcome of the challenge is, it is more than likely both Tom Dwan and Patrik Antonius will earn bountiful amounts of money over the course of their career. But make no mistake about it: both players are focused on winning this matchup because every session is in the news. So you can only imagine how much publicity the winner of the Poker Challenge will end up receiving.
