Be careful of what you post on Facebook! This is what Scott Montgomery has learned after his post about his girlfriend’s gift made their relationship public. The innocent post simply said “Getting ready to celebrate my gf’s birthday. hope she likes my gift!” This came as a shock to everyone because there was no update as far as his relationship status goes. After the big reveal on Facebook, the news flew to the highly talked-about poker forum TwoPlusTwo.
After an hour of immature comments and nine replies, the thread on the site was shut down. The thread featured a cozy looking picture of Annette Obrestad, a Full Tilt Poker pro, and Montgomery together. The picture seems to be taken in Las Vegas, although the couple are in London right now for the WSOP Europe festivities.
Finally everyone was relieved when Montgomery updated his “change of relationship” from being single to being in a relationship with Annette Obrestad. I think it’s safe to say she liked her gift; it is still anyone’s guess as to what it was. The two love birds have been staying under the radar about their relationship, and have chosen to only Tweet about their time at the WSOPE.
Annette and Scott aren’t special when it comes to falling head over heels in the poker world. There have been plenty before them like Phil Laak and his longtime love Jennifer Tilly, Erick Lindgren who matches up with Erica Schoenberg, Chip and Karina Jett are happily married. And we can’t forget Marco Traniello has chosen Jennifer Harman as his leading lady as well!
